NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are up at noon: Barrick Gold rose $.25 or .6 percent, to $39.81. Gold Fields rose $.22 or 1.7 percent, to $13.14. Goldcorp rose $.49 or 1.3 percent, to $39.44. Newmont Mining rose $.06 or .1 percent, to $47.65.
