NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are up at 10 a.m.: Barrick Gold rose $.24 or .6 percent, to $39.80. Gold Fields rose $.24 or 1.9 percent, to $13.16. Goldcorp rose $.36 or .9 percent, to $39.31. Newmont Mining rose $.23 or .5 percent, to $47.82.
